2. What Is a Cookie?
Cookies are small text files saved on your device through your browser when you visit a website. They enable the site to function, remember your preferences and help us understand how the site is used. By duration, cookies are classified as session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (remain on your device for a certain period). By source, they are classified as first-party cookies (set by the Site) and third-party cookies (set by another service provider).
3. Cookies Used on Our Site
Only the cookies listed below are used on our Site. Cookies other than strictly necessary cookies are placed on your device only if you give your consent through the cookie panel.
| Session Cookies | Session cookies are temporary cookies used during a visitor’s visit to our website and deleted once the browser is closed. Their purpose is to ensure that the Site functions properly during your visit. |
| Persistent Cookies | Persistent cookies are used to improve the functionality of the website and to provide visitors with a faster and better service. These cookies are used to remember your preferences and are stored on your device by your browser. |
| Technical Cookies | Technical cookies keep the website running and help identify pages and sections of the Site that are not working. |
| Authentication Cookies | When visitors log in to the website with their password, these cookies recognise them as a site user on every page they visit, so that they do not have to enter their password again on each page. |
| Flash Cookies | Cookies used to enable image or audio content on the website. |
| Customisation Cookies | Cookies used to remember users’ preferences, such as language, as they move between different pages of the website. |
| Analytical Cookies | Cookies that track analytical data such as the number of visitors, the pages viewed, visit times and scrolling behaviour. |
Cookieless technologies: Our Site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, for performance measurement, and Google Fonts for typefaces. These services do not place cookies on your device; however, when you open the Site, your IP address and browser information are technically transmitted to these providers’ servers.
If a new cookie is introduced on our Site in the future, this table will be updated and your consent will be requested again for non-essential cookies.
4. Legal Grounds for Processing Personal Data Through Cookies
- Strictly necessary cookies: These are required for the Site to function and to provide the service you request. They are used without your explicit consent under Article 5(2)(c) of the Law (processing is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract) and Article 5(2)(f) (our legitimate interest, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms).
- Analytical, functional and marketing cookies: These are used solely on the basis of your explicit consent under Article 5(1) of the Law. Not giving consent does not prevent you from using the Site.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
On your first visit to the Site, the cookie panel presents the options “Accept All”, “Reject All” and “Manage Preferences” with equal prominence. Non-essential cookies are disabled by default, and closing the panel without making a choice does not count as consent.
You may withdraw or change your consent at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of the Site. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing carried out before the date of withdrawal.
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the Site (such as language selection and the quote list) may not work properly. Cookie settings for common browsers can be found on the help pages of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and Opera.
6. Transfer of Personal Data and Transfers Abroad
Data obtained through cookies may be transferred, in accordance with Article 8 of the Law, to the hosting, security and content delivery providers we use for hosting the Site, ensuring its security and delivering its content, and, upon request, to authorised public institutions and organisations.
The servers of YouTube (Google LLC), Google Fonts (Google LLC) and Cloudflare Inc. are located abroad, primarily in the United States of America. No adequacy decision has been announced by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board for these countries.
- Transfers made in connection with the Cloudflare and Google Fonts services used for the operation of the Site are carried out by providing one of the appropriate safeguards listed in Article 9(4) of the Law (standard contract).
- Transfers made through YouTube cookies are based on the explicit consent you give in the cookie panel, under Article 9(6)(a) of the Law. This transfer involves the risks that the country to which your data is transferred may not offer a level of protection and effective remedies equivalent to those in Türkiye, and that your data may be accessed by that country’s public authorities. If you do not give explicit consent, the video will not play; you can watch it directly on YouTube.
7. Retention Periods
Cookies remain on your device for the periods specified in the table above. The record of your cookie preference (consent or refusal, with date and time) is kept for a maximum of 1 year for evidentiary purposes; at the end of this period, you will be asked for your preference again.
8. Your Rights Under Article 11 of the Law
By applying to Dinamik Raf, you have the right to: learn whether your personal data is processed; request information if it has been processed; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose; know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it has been transferred; request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate; request its erasure or destruction under the conditions set out in Article 7 of the Law; request that these actions be notified to the third parties to whom it has been transferred; object to any outcome to your detriment arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems; and claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.
In accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, you may submit your requests:
- in person or through a notary public, with a wet-signed petition sent to the address above, or
- from the email address you previously provided to Dinamik Raf and that is registered in our system, to [email protected].
Your application must include your name, surname, your signature if the application is in writing, your Turkish ID number (for foreign nationals, nationality and passport/ID number), your address for notifications, your email, phone and fax number if any, and the subject of your request. You may use the Application Form available on our Site.
Your applications will be concluded free of charge as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. If the process requires an additional cost, a fee may be charged according to the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board. If your application is rejected, if you find the response insufficient, or if no response is given in time, you may file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board within 30 days of learning of the response and, in any case, within 60 days of the application date.
